As a cooperative, membership to People's Food Co-op is voluntary and open.

Anyone is welcome to join, and by the same token Member-Owners are welcome to sell their share back to the Co-op at any time. We are always sad to see Member-Owners go, but value that situations change and understand that not everyone needs or wants what People's ownership offers.

By filling out the form below, you are formally requesting a refund of your PeopleShare and are giving up membership in the Co-op. You will receive a check in the mail for the full amount that you have invested in the Co-op, minus a $15 processing fee.

Repayments are generally made within 30 days of request, but may be held until replacement capital is secured and/or 6 months from the time of the initial purchase. Thanks in advance for your understanding!

What would you like to do with your share refund money?

You may choose to receive a check in the mail, or to donate your share refund to People's Pay It Forward Membership Fund, which covers the cost of memberships for community members for whom the cost of investment is a barrier to joining.
