How to Create an Account For Member-Owners
If you have a membership with the Co-op, please follow the steps below to ensure your online orders are appropriately linked with your membership account. (Click the images below to see them bigger!)
Not a Member? No problem! You can still register for an account. On the Login/Register page, click “Register” below the login fields.
1. To create an account associated with your Member-Owner number, please navigate to the top-right of the store page and click where it says Login/Register.
2. After getting to the Login page, click "Setup Online Account" below the login fields, as highlighted here:
3. After clicking “Setup Online Account,” the page will prompt you to reset your password. It will prompt you for your contact information, and send you a link to set up your password. The contact information you provide should be the same contact information attached to your People’s Membership.
4. After you’ve reset your password, you can login using either your e-mail, phone number, or Member number, and your new password. Then, you’ll be ready to start shopping!
Following these steps will ensure that your order is associated with the appropriate contact information for you, as well as with other orders made under your membership history. If applicable, this will also associate your Hands-On Owner discounts with your purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all items at the co-op available to purchase through
the online store?
Yes! You may order all bulk, produce, nonfood, grocery, perishable, dairy, and frozen items on our online store.
If you’re having trouble finding a specific item in our online store, please include it in the “Order Instructions” field in your cart (pictured to the right)! Please include the brand, size, and other details that will help us find the product. If we have it in stock, we’ll include it in your order!
Sometimes an item you ordered may actually be out of stock at the Co-op, because the items listed in our online store do not always accurately reflect what’s in stock at the Co-op. You may indicate whether or not substitutions are allowed for specific items in your cart, as pictured to the right.
What days can we pick up our orders?
Pick up days are Monday, Thursday, and Saturday between 8:30am-9:30am, or 8:30pm-9pm. When you place your order, you will select an available pick-up time slot to let us know when you’ll be by to pick up your order. Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance of the pickup window. Please pick up your orders on time!
How should I pick up my items when I arrive?
When you get to the Co-op, please ring the doorbell at the front door for assistance and we’ll bring your order out to you. We are only accepting payment by card at this time, so please bring your card to the door with you and we will process your payment. If you would prefer to remain in your vehicle when you pick up your groceries, give us a call at (503) 232-9051 and let us know you’ve arrived, and we’ll bring your order to you.
How can I pay for my order?
We can only accept card payments at the moment. Please bring your card to the door when you pick up your order and we will process your payment.
Can I use my Member-Owner 10% Off Coupon with online ordering?
Yes! Just bring it with you when you come pick up your groceries and hand it to the staff member who processes your payment.
Can I add additional items to the order at pick-up?
Due to the quick turnaround necessary for fulfilling orders, we will typically not allow you to add items to your order at pick-up. However, you are welcome to write in additional items that you weren’t able to find in our store page in the “Order Instructions” field in your cart, and if we can fulfill that, we will!
Can we bring in bottle returns?
We will accept any bottle returns for our vendors (e.g. milk bottles, Hummingbird containers), but will not be accepting returns for 10¢ deposit bottles (aluminum cans, plastic bottles, other glass bottles). Please let us know ahead of time if you'll be bringing them, and we'll have an area set aside for you to deposit them.
I never received a text or e-mail notification that my order was confirmed, or that it was ready for pick-up when the pick-up window came.
Please call the co-op at (503) 232-9051 to let us know – this may be due to outdated or incomplete information in your membership profile, which we can quickly fix!
Can I call in an order by phone instead of using the website?
We are not accepting orders placed over the phone.
Is there an online payment option?
At the moment, there is not. We will take your card at pick-up, no need to enter the store.
Can I use my 10% discount and other discounts for these orders?
Yes, just let us know when you pick it up, or note that you would like to apply it in the “Order Instructions” field in your cart.
Do I need to be a Member-Owner to do curbside shopping?
You do not – you just need to make an account with us at our online shopping website at https://peoplescoop.storebyweb.com and you’ll be good to go!
What if I can’t find something online but I know you usually stock it?
Please let us know in your order notes, and if we’re able to fulfill it, we will – please let us know what items you’re having trouble finding as well, and we’ll try to get that cleared up on the online store ASAP.
Are there packaging fees?
We will charge the state-required $0.05 fee for each paper bag needed for packing your order. Otherwise, we will package bulk items and produce in free paper and plastic packages as appropriate. If you would like us to avoid using any plastic packaging, please let us know in your order notes. If you would like us to package your order in previously used cardboard boxes instead of paper bags, please let us know as well.
Is there a service fee?
There is a service fee for using online ordering of $5, and an additional $5 for every $100 in purchases. The service fee is waived if you are paying with EBT.
Will the “On Sale” price for an item be honored if the sale is over by the time I pick up my groceries?
Yes – once you add an item to your cart, the price will be locked in.
