We’re hiring for the position of Technology Coordinator.

People’s is hiring for the position Technology Coordinator. People’s is a dynamic and complex living workplace: a grocery store, a member-owned cooperative, a collective and much more.

The Tech Coordinator works with People's Co-op information systems, provides technical support to staff, maintains technology and addresses co-op equipment needs. In addition to offering tech training and support to all co-op staff and teams in achieving goals, the Tech Coordinator serves the co-op in working more healthfully and intelligently with technology. This position is also responsible for all computers and peripherals, cash registers, printers, copiers, phone systems and extensions.

This position also works shifts on the retail floor where they are responsible for accurate and courteous cashiering, providing prompt and welcoming customer service, keeping the store fully stocked, and taking care of how the store looks and feels.

This is a People's Co-management and Full Time equivalent job and requires in-store co- management as a member of our worker collective. As a collective, we manage our Co-op prudently as a service to People’s member-owners, in line with the goals established by their elected stewards, the Board of Directors. In addition, the Co-op and collective are committed to fostering human rights and social and economic justice in our community and workplace. Making a commitment to People’s Co-management requires hard-work, dedication, high yet reasonable expectations, bravery, compassion, flexibility and a willingness to grow.

The position currently being offered is 32-40 hours per week with some on-call time and flexibility in making your own schedule. The compensation includes: $12.58/hr to start plus a fabulous benefits package: Medical & Dental Insurance (including access to Naturopathic Doctors & Acupuncturists), paid personal time off, annual raises, a 19% discount on purchases at the co-op, a Staff Benefits Exchange Program (reduced rate services from participating wellness practitioners & bike mechanics), along with an empowered work environment.

This position is open until filled. You must complete an application in order to be considered for an interview.. You may submit your application via email HERE, or you can drop it off at the store. Applications submitted outside this deadline will not be considered.
