Fresh Fruit Broken Bodies Book Club
Come discuss a wonderful book by physician and anthropologist Seth Holmes. Dr. Holmes lived and worked with Oaxacan migrant workers as they traveled between Mexico, Washington State and California over the course of two years. He illuminates experiences of border crossing, berry harvesting, running a family farm, and trying to stay healthy as a farm worker. He shares stories, observations, and analysis of our food system and the challenges faced by those who make it possible.
